I’ve been trading Forex for 3 years and run multiple live accounts. I am involved with an international trading community led by Daniel Fernandez (asirikuy.com; mechanicalforex.com) where we trade mechanical strategies and analyze systems with statistical methods. Strategies are built on the foundation of the well-known Turtle Trading System, as they all have volatility adjusted money management. This is vital for long term success because as market cycles change so does the daily volatility of an instrument and targets must be adjusted accordingly. During development we apply edge ratio analysis and we also use dynamic exit rule: in case of unfavorable conditions they exit the market early, before hitting the stop loss. Reward to risk ratio of systems is typically in the 1:2 to 3:1 range. Long term profitable systems had drawdown periods in the past and will have in the future. This is a fundamental characteristic of these systems, because financial markets are very complex and highly random. We believe however, that in the long term odds are on our side, but in the short term market randomness can cause consecutive losses.  --   In the Trade Leader Program I provide the signals of an auto-traded portfolio (system C) that consists of 10 trading strategies, most of them are trend-following, but they apply quite different trading tactics. I don't use Martingale, grid trading or similar unsound trading approach. The systems of the portfolio are traded 24 hours a day and monitored technically and statistically. If there’s any technical problem with the trading server I am notified immediately and have a policy of using stop losses on trades. The goal is to have no more than15 trades open at a given time, with my average target at 200 pips , and I my goal is to risk at maximum 3 % of my account per trade (although the average risk is 0.5% of the account per trade). Positions are open from a few hours to 1-2 weeks. The B system is also in the Trade Leader Board, it's a standalone system which keeps only one trade open at a time and risks maximum 6% of the account.
